Granary Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Granary is a paycheck planner that runs entirely on your device. This policy is short because there isn't much to disclose: we don't collect anything.
What we collect
Nothing. Granary has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no server. The app makes no network requests. We never see your budget, your bills, your pay, or anything else you enter.
What stays on your device
- Your budget data — pay schedule, bills, goals, buckets, subscriptions, and settings — is stored only on your device, encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). The encryption key is kept in the iOS Keychain.
- Reminders (payday nudges, bill reminders, the weekly digest) are scheduled locally by the app on your device. No push servers are involved.
- If you turn on the app lock, Face ID / Touch ID checks happen entirely on-device through iOS. Granary never sees or stores biometric data.
Backups
Export creates a plain, unencrypted JSON file, and you choose where it goes. It's yours — treat it like the sensitive document it is. Import reads a file you pick. Neither touches our servers, because there aren't any.
Support email
If you email support@granaryvault.com, we'll receive whatever you choose to include and use it only to help you. That's ordinary email, handled by your mail provider, and you can ask us to delete the thread at any time.
Children
Granary doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If Granary ever adds a feature that involves data leaving your device (such as optional sync), we'll update this policy first, and the app will ask before anything moves. Any sync we build will be end-to-end encrypted — readable only by you, never by us.
